From a club in crisis mode and a coach close to losing his job, up against the challenges of injuries to key players and media scrutiny like no other sporting club in the country, Collingwood rebuilt their approach and culture to extraordinary effect. Led by coach Nathan Buckley the club embraced the differences and ‘faults’ within the playing and coaching group and found gold where they had once only seen issues, coming out much stronger for it. This is not your typical football documentary. From the Inside Out shows the human face(s) of football, the impact the pursuit of excellence at the elite level can have on players and coaches, and how Collingwood rebuilt themselves to bring about change and success.
